BIOGRAFIA
Maria Elisabetta Pagnano was born in Naples, Italy. After graduating from high school, she earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II. She then attended the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Robotics and Ergonomics in 2023.
After completing her thesis under the supervision of Professor Leandro Pecchia, she began her PhD in his laboratory, focusing on Artificial Intelligence for diagnosing diseases, particularly rare ones. Initially oriented towards robotics, her studies led to a growing interest in assisting doctors in the diagnosis phase of diseases.
She has a strong affinity for the elderly and children, aspiring to participate at an early stage of their medical journey to offer maximum support in the shortest time. Her work involves developing AI models to aid in medical diagnosis, with the goal of making technology serve both patients and doctors, contributing to a better world.
