BIOGRAFIA
Jacopo Vitale graduated with a Master of Science in Computer and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Cassino and Lazio Meridionale in December 2022. His major academic focus has been on Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and medicine since his bachelor’s degree.
His interest in Artificial Intelligence sparked during his bachelor’s thesis, which involved designing a neural network in C language for recognizing certain substances dissolved in water. During his master’s program, he concentrated on the application of AI in the medical field, recognizing its potential to save lives. His final Master’s thesis involved constructing, training, and validating an AI model capable of determining the severity level of COVID-19 based on genetic sequences.
Following his Master’s degree, he pursued a PhD at Campus Bio-Medico University in Rome, collaborating with healthcare experts and biomedical engineers. His research primarily focuses on developing AI as a diagnostic assistant, learning to design and deploy AI applications in Biomedical Engineering. His work aims to address the challenges posed by the knowledge gap between medical professionals and the engineering tools provided, striving to contribute to innovative and effective advancements in the field of AI in healthcare.
